Fused Glass Christmas Trees Workshop
Create your own fused glass Christmas trees at our studio in the Red House Glass Cone, Stourbridge.
In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll design and make freestanding glass Christmas trees, set into wooden bases — perfect for festive home décor or thoughtful handmade gifts.
No experience needed.
What will I make?
You’ll create your own set of fused glass Christmas trees, designed and decorated in your own style.
Your designs could include:

Traditional green trees with layered detail

Colourful or abstract Christmas designs

Textured effects using frits and decorative glass
Each tree will be mounted into a wooden base so it can stand and be displayed at home.
Two wooden bases are included, allowing you to create a pair of trees. Additional bases can be purchased on the day if you’d like to make more.
Your designs will be created by you during the workshop, then kiln-fired afterwards to form the finished glass pieces.
What to expect
During this 2-hour session, you’ll be guided step by step through:

How to safely cut and shape glass

How to layer colours and create detail

How to design pieces that work as freestanding trees
You’ll have access to a wide range of coloured glass, frits and decorative materials, so you can keep things simple or create something more detailed.
We’ll guide you throughout, while giving you the freedom to make something that feels like your own.
