In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll design and make a decorative glass platter — perfect for serving food, displaying cakes, or adding a statement piece to your table.

What will I make?

​

You’ll create your own fused glass serving platter, which could be used for:

 

• Serving cakes or cupcakes

• Displaying food for gatherings

• A decorative centrepiece for your table

 

Your design will be completely unique, created by you during the workshop and shaped into a finished platter during the firing process.

What to expect

During this 3-hour session, you’ll be guided step by step through:

 

• How to safely cut and shape glass

• How to layer colours and decorative elements

• How to design a strong, balanced composition

​

You’ll have access to a wide range of coloured glass, frits and decorative materials, so you can keep your design simple or create something more detailed.

 

We’ll guide you throughout, while giving you the freedom to create something that feels like your own.
