mosaic glass fusing

This technique brings together the best qualities of fused, stained and mosaic glass in one. Combining the vibrant colours of stained glass with the ability to create many different designs fused together. Use the technique to create your own stunning vase, suncatcher or bowl.

The workshop is beginner friendly but also great if you want to try a new style of fusing! We have many beautiful colours of glass for you to choose from. How to use the equipment safely to score and break the glass will be demonstrated to you, and this along with lots of advice, encouragement and tea or coffee will help bring your ideas to life.

Your pieces will need to be fired over night for at least two firings, but will be available for collection a few days after the course. Or they can be posted for a small additional postage fee.

The class is made even more enjoyable simply by the setting. The Glass Quarter Designs studio is well equipped, and has an inspiring, creative atmosphere and of course is based at the wonderful Red House Glass Cone. You could have lunch sitting by the canal or try our on site cafe. Take a walk around the beautiful historic building and visit the numerous other craft studios on site.

All materials and tools will be provided. No previous knowledge required. Please ensure you wear fully closed shoes and practical clothing.
