Handkerchief Vase / Tealight Bowl Workshop

Create your own fused glass handkerchief vase or tealight bowl in our studio at the Red House Glass Cone, Stourbridge.
In this workshop, you’ll design and make a flowing, sculptural glass piece using colour, pattern and texture. Each one forms naturally in the kiln, making every result unique.
No experience needed.

What will I make?

You’ll create a fused glass piece that will be shaped into either a handkerchief-style vase or a tealight bowl.
Your design could include:
-
Bright colour combinations
-
Abstract or patterned designs
-
Simple or more detailed finishes
Each piece is completely individual, shaped by both your design and the firing process.

What to expect

During this 2-hour session, you’ll be guided step by step through:
-
How to safely cut and shape glass
-
How to layer colours and decorative elements
-
How to build your design

There is plenty of support throughout, so you can keep things simple or experiment with more detailed ideas.
