Covid 19 Policy-
Please don't attend if you're feeling ill or have any symptoms or have been requested to self isolate. We will honour your booking at a later date with out charge.
At the current time we are requiring people to wear facemarks during the workshop. We will also be taking everyone's temperature on arrival, and getting everyone to fill in our covid form.
This workshop is a great way to get involved in fused glass if you’re nervous about cutting glass. During the workshop you will use glass frit to create a beautiful colourful fused glass dish.
Jane will demonstrate how to use the tools and equipment safely. If you want to cut the shape of your dish yourself, Jane will demonstrate the techniques. However if you are a little nervous, Jane can help! Then using and layering smashed glass and frit, you will be able to apply a bold colourful design.
Your pieces will need to be fired over night, but will be available for collection a few days after the course. Or they can be posted for a small additional postage fee.
The class is made even more enjoyable simply by the setting. The Glass Quarter Designs studio is well equipped, and has an inspiring, creative atmosphere and of course is based at the wonderful Red House Glass Cone. You could have lunch sitting by the canal or try our on site cafe. Take a walk around the beautiful historic building and visit the numerous other craft studios on site.
All materials and tools will be provided. No previous knowledge required. Please ensure you wear fully closed shoes and practical clothing.
