On this workshop you will make a pattern dish by cutting and stacking opaque and transparent glass. Jane will demonstrate how to handle and cut the glass safely. Then you will choose your dish shape and size and get designing! With Jane on hand to help, you will cut and stack your chosen glass. The dish will then be fired and slumped for you.

Available base colours for your dish will be Brown, Orange, Grey, Turquoise, Green or Clear. Other colours maybe able to be supplied on request, depending on the cost of the glass there maybe a small additional charge. Please email us for details at glassquarterdesigns@gmail.com

The course is held at studio 14 on the site of the Red House Glass Cone, near Stourbridge. In the heart of the glass quarter. You can spend some time looking around the site, glass blowing demonstrations are held weekend afternoons. There is also a coffee shop on site but tea and coffee will be provided.

Your pieces will need to fired over night, but will be available for collection about a week after the course. Or they can be posted for a small additional postage fee.
