Come and make original glass beads to create your own unique jewellery!

 

Join glass bead artist Sarah Cordingley for a wonderfully creative, fun-filled workshop learning the great techniques for making lampworked glass heart beads. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those wanting to improve their skills. During this half day session Sarah will take you through all the techniques to create beautiful heart shaped beads. You'll learn how to use tools and gravity to shape the glass. 

 

Using colours you've picked yourself from our glass store, you will end the session having made several unique heart shaped beads. Your 3 favourites will be mounted and ready to wear! If they're all your favourites you can pay a little more and have them all done.

 

Your beads will be annealed in the kiln and will be available for you to collect the following week or we can post your beads to you for a small charge. Torch time is available at an hourly rate once you’ve graduated!

 

The courses are held at Studio 14 on the site of the Red House Glass Cone, near Stourbridge in the heart of the Glass Quarter. You can spend some time looking around the site, glass blowing demonstrations are held weekend afternoons. There is also a coffee shop on site but tea and coffee will be provided
