introduction to glass fusing

Want to have a go at fusing glass and also learn a bit about the process, then coming on this full day fusing course. Jane will take you through a technical introduction to fusing, showing you how to safely score and break glass, how to fuse to get certain results and how different glass works together. You will also learn about the technical process that happens while the glass fuses in the kiln and how a kiln programme works for full, tack and slumping or shaping the glass.

All these while making a few lovely pieces of your choice while we work through some more technical questions. You can spend the day picking janes brain about anything from fusing advice to selling advice. A great day spent if you are thinking of starting out with glass fusing or have a kiln but are unsure.

Throughout the day all glass will be supplied as well as lots of tea and coffee. Your pieces will then be fired and will be ready to collect or post a few days later.
