Come and make original glass beads to create your own unique jewellery!

Join glass bead artist Sarah Cordingley for a wonderfully creative, fun-filled workshop learning the great techniques for making lampwork glass beads. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those wanting to improve their skills. During this half day session, Sarah will take you through bead making techniques, including the application of spots and creating twists in the glass. Using colours you have picked yourself from our glass store, you will end the session having made your own unique glass beads which will be made up into a beautiful piece of jewellery.

Your beads will be annealed in the kiln and will be available for you to collect the following week or we can post your beads to you for a small charge. Torch time is available at an hourly rate once you’ve graduated!

The courses are held at Glass Quarter Designs, Studio 14 on the site of the Red House Glass cone, near Stourbridge in the heart of the Glass Quarter. You can spend some time looking around the site, absorbing the history and visiting the other Art and Craft Studios. There is also a coffee shop on site if you get peckish but we will be popping the kettle on for teas and coffees to keep the workshop going!
